CABS Finishes Malachi, Takes up Book of Jude

Have you ever thought of yourself as a “treasured possession”? In our last study of the final book of the Old Testament, we will learn why God calls us His “Segoulah” or “treasured possession” when the Coffee and Bible Study (CABS) meets on Monday, March 10th. We will cover the last part of Malachi chapter three with its curious “scroll of remembrance” section, as well as all of chapter four with its prophecy of the coming of John the Baptist and the “great and dreadful day of the Lord.” When we meet again on Monday, March 24th, we will take up another of the single chapter books of the Bible, the book of Jude. This book, written by the half brother of Jesus under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit curiously contains material from several non-Biblical sources, including the apocryphal books “The Assumption of Moses” and “The Book of Enoch.”  The book of Jude has many timely warnings for Christians today, as well as a call to persevere, and one of the most beautiful doxologies in the Bible. Please join us at Bethany Meadows at 9 am on these dates and expand your knowledge of the lesser known books of the Bible!
